Breakaway provides prevention, mentoring, and diversionary services in a culturally secure environment to      adults both pre and post-release from incarceration as well as young people who are disengaged from school and at risk of being affected by alcohol and other drugs.

 

      YOUTH

One of Breakaway’s key strengths since its inception has been supporting adults and young people to make the right choices that will set them on the path to become fully engaged members of our community through programs that encourage and supports them on their individual journey.

 

FAMILY

The connection within the family unit is the cornerstone of Aboriginal culture.  We support families with programs that help to rebuild or strengthen these connections.

 

HOMELESS

In partnership with AnglicareWA and Doors Wide Open we work with people experiencing chronic homelessness in the Bunbury area, to achieve stable housing outcomes.

 

ADULT JUSTICE

Incarceration affects many of our families.  Breakaway supports individuals caught in the cycle of recidivism with programs designed to empower, equip and encourage them to take the steps they need to make a change.
